Bentayga ride warning: air suspension and Dynamic Ride are different systems

Distinguish Bentayga ride-height equipment from Bentley Dynamic Ride before interpreting a warning or agreeing to suspension repairs.

A Bentayga suspension complaint needs a precise description because air suspension and Bentley Dynamic Ride perform different jobs. Bentley describes Dynamic Ride as a 48V active anti-roll system on applicable vehicles. That is not the same function as an air spring supporting the vehicle or equipment controlling its ride height.

Confirm what is installed

Identify the model year and actual options before using a technical description to explain a warning. Equipment availability differs across versions. The presence of one suspension feature does not establish that every Bentley suspension technology is fitted.

Ask the assessor to distinguish the system named by the warning from the symptom you observed. A message and a sensation can be related, but their relationship still needs evidence.

Record height and body movement separately

For a height concern, note whether one side or corner appears different and whether that changes after parking. For a handling concern, describe the normal circumstances in which the car feels different: a familiar bend, uneven road or low-speed manoeuvre. Do not perform abrupt turns or deliberately provoke the car to test roll control.

Useful accompanying information includes the selected drive mode, exact warning wording and any recent tyre, wheel or suspension work. Photographs taken on level ground can help communicate a height concern, but do not diagnose its cause.

Avoid a parts-first estimate

A compressor quotation does not, by itself, explain a Dynamic Ride warning. Equally, an electrical-system description does not establish that an air spring is healthy. Request a diagnostic assessment that identifies the system and records findings before a mechanical repair scope is agreed.

Know the limits of owner observation

Do not crawl beneath a vehicle supported only by its suspension, disconnect 48V equipment or repeatedly change height settings to demonstrate a fault. Follow any instruction displayed by the vehicle. The useful outcome of an enquiry is a clear assessment plan, not a remote promise that one named component will solve every ride complaint.

Discuss your vehicle

See the Bentley information page or send a model-specific enquiry. Confirm the proposed work and vehicle suitability before booking.
