My Bentley not connecting? Check eligibility before requesting programming

A feature missing from My Bentley is not automatically a coding problem. Bentley's activation guidance makes model, model year and country relevant to connected-service availability. Account setup and the vehicle's eligibility should therefore be checked before discussing workshop software work.

Identify the exact feature that is missing

Describe whether you cannot sign in, cannot link the car or can open the app but cannot use one function. These are different problems. Record the app message, vehicle model year and the feature name rather than reporting only that “the app does not work.”

For an imported or used vehicle, confirm the applicable market and legitimate ownership-transfer process. A feature shown in another country's advertisement may not be available for your car in the UAE.

Work through the account side first

Check the official activation instructions and whether any required account verification or service activation remains incomplete. Use the manufacturer's support route for ownership and account issues. Keep passwords, verification codes and personal account screenshots private; they are not needed in a public workshop enquiry.

Also distinguish a temporary connection problem from a function that has never been eligible. Repeatedly resetting the vehicle or changing accounts without recording the original message can make the history harder to understand.

When a workshop enquiry becomes relevant

If the vehicle itself shows a persistent warning or connectivity malfunction, request diagnostic assessment with the exact symptom. Discuss online programming only if a verified vehicle-side requirement is identified and support for that model and operation is confirmed.

App activation, subscription entitlement and control-module programming are not interchangeable services. An independent workshop should not promise to enable an unsupported market feature, bypass account ownership or access the manufacturer's systems without verified authority.

Make the next step specific

A useful outcome is a clear division: what needs official account support, what needs a vehicle inspection, and what remains unavailable or unconfirmed. That prevents paying for an assumed programming solution before the underlying question is known.
